Love and You

You were the first peck my cheek knew
you had the first touch my hand trembled against
you were a guest of wind
I could never meet your eye
Shy as rain, glances cast down
your eyes smiled the brightest smile
I hadn't known even lips could
Our love had the fragrance of sweet summer roses

It was a different time
It was its own emotion
It was a life loved
It was alive
It was a heart drunk in love
It was free
It was chatter
It was pain
It was all and ever
It was over

My love
had the fragrance of summer roses

Grandfather,The Impertinent

He lived life in bulk
Grandfather Impertinent
Sobered by its drudgery,
Ever an adjunct, never akin
Weaving his silent words
As quiets dinned.

Moons waxed and waned, the
Antes funked out to posts.
The days and decades they went,
He warmed coffee, he warmed chairs
Grandfather Impertinent.

Now a paragon of despair,
Life stagnant as a clogged sink,
Breath- an unchanging pitch through his nasal vent-
With the most mindful mindlessness,
Lies Grandfather(now) despondent.

Done his dos and went his comes
Reserved his ride on the train to from-here.
Anon's the departure
Then onto the drinks
May Angels be your barmaids and you their patron.
